One of four global research and development facilities at the hub of GE’s worldwide technology development efforts, the GE China Technology Center (CTC) is a diversified, multi-disciplinary organization conducting fundamental research, new product development, engineering service and sourcing service.
Located at Zhangjiang High-Tech Park, the China Technology Center (CTC) has been operational since May 2003 with a total physical area of 47,000 square meters. CTC is one of the biggest foreign invested R&D centers and among the very few enterprise R&D centers which have fundamental research capabilities.
With more than 1,400 researchers and engineers and 60+ labs, CTC teams are driven to bring technology breakthroughs and product innovations to life in the following key areas:
o Energy, including Clean Coal, Wind Power, Solar Power, etc.
o Water, including Seawater desalination and water treatment
o Material, including nano-material, crystal, etc.
o Electronic and electric, real time control
o Security systems
o Advanced manufacture
o Imaging Technology

GE China Technology Center accomplished more than 100 R&D projects every year, one third of which are fundamental research projects. Till the end of 2008, CTC has filed more than 320 patent applications.

GE Water & Process Technologies

The GE Water & Process Technologies (GEWPT) team was established at CTC since 2003. It is a comprehensive technology team to provide total solutions for major water issues in China and globally. The team consists of 40 researchers working in the following areas: Chemicals & water Reuse, Analytical instrument & Monitoring System, Biotechnology, and Membrane. While the grand majority of the team’s effort is on global NPIs and RTS, the team is also focused on ICFC projects and drive Growth in China.
Chemicals & Wastewater Reuse team are endeavoring not only to provide on-time quality technical support to the commercial and engineering teams to serve our customers better, but also to initiate and execute on NPIs or NTI programs for wastewater reuse, biofilm control for cooling system and chemicals localization. They strive for business growth both locally and globally.
Analytical Instrument & Monitoring System are aiming to Develop state-of-art detection & control technology to enable intelligent water and process chemical application in various industries. The products of Total Organic Carbon (TOC) Measurement are widely applied in water for industries like wastewater, municipal water, power generation, Pharmaceutical and microelectronics.
Using cutting-edge molecular biology and microbiology techniques, our Biotechnology team is specialized in detecting microbes in water and treating wastewater for organics and metals removal.
To localize GE’s core advanced technologies in China, and to provide real solutions to China water scarcity issues, our ICFC team have achieved greatly in Developing Ultra Low Energy Reverse Osmosis Machines (ULE-RO), low cost membrane bioreactor (MBR) System and customized Industrial Wastewater Solutions. ICFC is a long-term project based on profitable short-term targets for the bloom of globalization.

化学药剂和废水回用团队在积极配合市场和工程部,及时为客户提供高品质的技术支持的同时,还开发和执行与废水回用,冷却水系统的膜生物控制,和药剂本土化的各类新项目,他们致力于中国及全球的业务增长。
分析仪器及监测系统团队研究和开发多种检测和控制技术设备,以提高水处理工艺和技术在各行业应用的智能化和有效性,其中总有机碳分析仪在制药业及微电子业上的应用领航全球, TrueSense可为客户提供在线分析,PWA便携式冷却水分析仪操作简单有效。
生物技术团队专长于运用分子生物学及微生物学的前沿技术来检测水系统中的微生物和生物处理污水去除有机物和金属污染。
应用GE 水处理反渗透和膜生物反应器等核心技术,针对中国水资源匮乏问题提供实际可行的解决方案,ICFC团队立足中国,服务中国,在开发低能耗反渗透设备方面, 低成本膜生物反应器方面,以及为客户量身定做工业废水解决方案上,都取得长足的进展。ICFC在中国是一个长期的项目,每一个阶段都有可预见的收益,服务 于GE全球化策略在各地开花结果的目标。
实习生要求:
1.专业要求:化工,环境,材料专业研究生或本科生。(最好研二或本三)
2.工作时间:至少每周3天。
3.工作内容:协助研发工程师进行水处理试验室试验的操作,测试,分析。
4.其他要求:遵守GE研发中心有关EHS方面的各项规定;英语良好,工作积极主动,有良好的团队意识。
5.希望能在此岗位实习较长时间,实习表现好有机会转正式员工。
